MELISSA JACKA
Doctor of Physical Therapy, DPT
Melissa grew up in Wichita, KS and moved to California after college. She received her Masters degree in Physical Therapy at Wichita State University and continued her education to receive her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine.
She brings several years of orthopedic experience to Direct Orthopedic Care. She is knowledgeable in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in both surgical and outpatient settings. She is certified in Graston Technique, Active Release Technique (ART), Dry Cupping and Kinesiotaping. She is proud to be an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and gives back to her profession by teaching students in the clinical setting.
She lives in Encinitas, CA and in her spare time, she enjoys surfing, riding her mountain bike, traveling and reading. She volunteers in the community with surf camps for special needs children.
